Running xfce as desktop with four workspaces. I go to one workspace, open up a bash terminal and start ripping a CD using abcde. I then switch to another workspace and do other things. In the past the abcde process would rip the CD until done. For about a week the abcde processing in the non-current workspace will run for a few minutes then "pause." If I switch to that workspace the abcde processing will start again, but will pause again sometimes if I switch away from the workspace. I have looked for a setting in xfce that might cause processes to pause but saw nothing obvious. It still may be a setting that got switched in a recent update.
