The basic problem is in connecting my Debian 12 Computer to a NAS device.
A brief description of the network.
1 a Windows 10 PC
2 a Debian 10 Laptop
3 a DLINK 320 NAS box
4 a Debian 12 desktop (newly acquired)
I can access the NAS from the Windows 10 PC and the Laptop - it appears on the network as both dlink-0180EF and DLINK-0180EF, however only using the uppercase version allows access to the shares.
My problem is with the new Debian 12 PC - while I can see the NAS and the two shares on it when I try to mount them I get an error - "Failed to Mount Windows Share. Software caused connection abort"
The smbclient package is installed.
The NAS is accessible by Anonymous users so authentication by the NAS is not an issue.
Ideas would be welcome - is any further information needed ?
