I'm currently building a new rig for myself. I have been happily running Bookworm in one way or another on my current machines however their hardware isn't nearly as new as what will be in the new build, meaning any issues I ran into were fully explored and reasonably easy to correct. That said there seems to be conflicting information regarding Debian 12's ability to work fully with the 7900 series cards. My question is: Does Debian 12 have full support for the 7900 series video cards (CPU will be r9 7950x3d, same concerns) or would I be better off installing something a little more up-to-date (Arch, Tumbleweed, Fedora) until Trixie is released? I quite like Debian so if it's a matter of switching to Sid or some convoluted fix via backports, that could work too.
