Enabling Camera: Macbook 2015

I am searching for a way to enable the camera on a Macbook 2015, largely for video meetings, and I'm seeing a lot of somewhat complicated instructions. I would love a little help determining which ones are trustworthy/the best.

This page is the most straightforward. It has a zip to download and then a series of terminal commands to install firmware and then the drivers:

There are detailed and comprehensive instructions here, but they're from 2016:

There's also this from Github, which is very detailed and, I'm sorry to say, more technically complex than I can handle. Yes, it's laid out very clearly, but it makes reference to stuff I don't understand yet.

If anyone has any suggestions for something really straightforward, I'd be grateful. Everything else worked out of the box, so I didn't expect the camera to be a sticking point.
