Good evening folks,
I have an installation of Armbian, but I am currently clueless about the origin of this problem and I assume it has something to do with apt, so I am posting here (I hope that's right...)
I installed openmediavault over some manual methods by adding the repository to apt and then installing the package etc.
Now I want to get rid of it though because it made me more trouble than it helped me in the end.
Only problem: I literally cannot uninstall it, because apt will crash the system when I try:
I am connected to the system over ssh, because it is a SBC with no display output.
When I try to uninstall I suddenly get disconnected and can't reconnect, also my lights stop blinking for a second, so I am pretty sure the device is crashing.
I tried to mess with the apt status file (openmediavault was a "half-installed" package, I changed it to installed, and it kind of worked, but I then have to leave all the dependencies like nginx installed and also there were many that said I that this file should not be messed with)
Now I wanted to ignore this honestly, but when I now try to install new packages I get:
Now when I try to install something, apt will automatically try to uninstall openmediavault, which crashes the system.
Do you have any tips to troubleshoot this?
I am trying to not need to set up a new system if possible (If it takes longer than a day to fix something like this, then I might have to do it though)
I'm sorry if I totally misunderstood something here or am completely wrong, it's my first time here![Very Happy :D]()
